Woolies sells a sugar free lemonade that is really good and cheap too on special - 3 for R33.

If I wanted to drink something that tastes like piss, I'd drink my own for free.

little battle?

This little battle has the potential to completely screw this country economically....

You mean, it already has.

Its a battle in a war within the ANC. Whoever wins it and gets the other side to back down will the faction to beat come 2017. Lethuli House, or at the very least Mantashe, seem to be in the Gordhan corner for now after this statement

The ruling party was "extremely concerned" about reports that the Hawks sent questions to Gordhan four days before his budget speech about his knowledge of a rogue unit at the SA Revenue Services.

Not JUST yet... we're teetering on the edge of the precipice.... but if this 'little' battle plays out the wrong way it will crush this country.

I know what the battle entails internally for the ANC...

but the fact that its playing out, when the "starting" public gambit nearly economically screwed this country, and these fscking retards are intending on continuing it regardless of the economic impact tells me they all need a running-kick-fsck-slap for being so bloody stupid.

Unfortunately, when a power vacuum looms, power battles are going to be messy. Look at pre Polokwane 2007. Its going to be a bumpy year till that elective conference in 2017

Number One, is slowly but surely losing his grip on his ANC....he will try to reassert itself...but think his faction has wised up, this man ain't loyal. He dumps you like a used condom. I am sure, day by day the Zuma faction is losing support

I see him becoming more and more isolated, the party will start making more and more decisions, side stepping him..lame duck president, more like a dead in water president, with the occasional off the cuff remark. Either he will resign, but most likely...he will be recalled. All in all, could not happen to a nicer person! Hopefully, in the process of getting ride of the head, SA Pty Ltd does not nose dive. Interesting times ahead.

When your power vacuum and resulting battles threatens to completely destabilise the economy then the whole group needs to re-evaluate HOW the battle plays out ffs...

Tensions in the ruling party surrounding hostilities between Finance Minster Pravin Gordhan and SARS Commissioner Tom Moyane, who is believed to be close to President Jacob Zuma, have spilled out into the open with ANC Secretary General, Gwede Mantashe, issuing a statement that the ANC unequivocally supported the Minister of Finance.

Mantashe's statement comes in the wake of what appears to be a campaign by the Hawks to target senior former SARS officials including Deputy Commissioner Ivan Pillay and group executive Johan van Loggerenberg as well as Gordhan, who was SARS commissioner at the time.

He has the backing of the ANC though, which suggests (by implication of Moyane being Zuma's guy) that Zuma doesn't...

Zuma days are numbered...Dead Man walking....Mantashe was spotted at SARS Head Office today, Moyane being told to stop playing leaky leaky not so deep throat, with the press...For Mantashe to come out and support Uncle Pravin, there is clearly a new faction in the ascendancy. JZ is going to become more and more isolated, as his power base starts crumbling and changing their tunes. Like Max Du Preez stated..." if President Jacob Zuma thought 2015 was tough, 2016 holds a lot more and is going to be his annus maximus horribilis." ...and downfall!

Zuma is going nowhere, the anc has to keep the perception of a united party. That and there are so many in the inner circle appointed by zuma which would mean their demise as well. It's also tribal as many are zulus & just the other day he announced increases for all the 'royals' majority being zulu so the chief gets his money and he will tell his subjects how to vote.

Investors already consider South Africa more risky than some junk-rated countries. The cost of insuring against a default by the government for five years using credit-default swaps is 38 basis points higher than for Russia, which is rated speculative grade by both S&P and Moody’s, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The only major emerging market with contracts more expensive than South Africa is Brazil, which is in the worst recession in a century and where President Dilma Rousseff is facing impeachment.

Nice for us lot, any cheap countries to emigrate to? Joking
