Budget 2019

Did I hear him suggest we should be growing weed for export ?

This seems like an excellent idea. They're legalising it at a good speed all over the world, and we've got a proud history of being farmers, so we can feed the need for weed.

And it should be quite profitable as well.

"We need to build a strong culture of payment for services in this country".
Talking about boycotting payments during apartheid.... "today I ask you and the other gallant fighters against the apartheid system to go back to the people and encourage them to pay for services now"

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Yeah until you get constantly attacked by criminals. If you thought farm deaths were a problem when they are growing carrots and beetroot, wait until they are growing marijuana.

"We need to build a strong culture of payment for services in this country".

Why do these idiots ALWAYS wait until there is a crisis before they address the problem?

In this case though they won't create a culture pf payment. Not when you now have a generation of university students that are getting everything for free and accustomed to getting things for free after they've had a quick riot. The ANC has created a welfare state, a poor one at that as we actually cannot afford to be a welfare state.

Why would it be any different?
I thought marijuana was completely non-addictive according to the pro-pot people. According to the same people, sugar farmers should be far more likely to get attacked as sugar is more addictive than cocaine.

Huh, its about monetary value not addiction. Whats carrots R5-R10 per kg? Whats Marijuana, R10 000 - R100 000 per kg?

The crisis this country faces is not just Eskom but the fact that 1/3 of the entire budget (R567 billion) being just social grants. 1/3 of all tax money is thrown down the drain to to keep people living on the breadline alive instead of being spent on improving/investing in the country.

How many other countries spend such a large portion of their budget on social grants?

Welfare = votes

Democrats rejoice
Ever heard of value?

Yeah...

If it's legal there is no reason for criminals to want to take it as it's value would be greatly diminished. This has been proven in studies around the world.

Anyway, this brings me back to my point that they're focusing on the wrong plant, they should turn the eastern cape into the biggest hemp plantation on the planet.

I read somewhere that we are borrowing R1.2bil a day and paying interest at R1bil a day ... if that is true, we are in for some major hurt in a few years when we have to implement austerity measures just to pay interest on the funds borrowed:mad:
