Hi peeps,

I'm looking at upgrading my 10-year-old 40" TV with the following requirements:
  • Watch occasional TV series and movies via streaming platforms (not much HD / 4K content)
  • Play PS4 + Wii (so no need for high refresh rates, etc)
  • A minimum 2 or 3 HDMI ports would be great
  • Google / Android TV preference over VIDAA (and the likes) but not a dealbreaker
  • Not concerned about speakers - have a BT soundbar
  • VESA mountable
  • Room has a fair amount of daylight through windows
Currently looking at the following options I've shortlisted:

Hisense 65" 65A6H - R7399
Toshiba 65" C350MN - R7999

Hisense 65" 65A6K LED - R8999
Toshiba 65" C450MN - R8999
TCL 65" 65P635 LCD - R8999

TCL 65" 65C645 LCD 2023 - R9999
Toshiba 65" Z770 LED - R9999

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Z770 is the only option

is it very good ?

my 65" hisesnse a 6100 series if not mistaken so few years old is quite bad when light shines through
Out of that lot it's a premium tv. Basically a mid to high range, your 6100 is low range.

Thanks for the suggestion. How does it compare to the C450MN? Not easy finding official product sheets for Toshiba products.
The Z770 is their higher end model, the C450M is their just leaving entry level model.
You'll not need a sound bar with the Z770, it's basically like saying hey what's the difference between the Polo and the Golf? The Z770 gets sold out quite quickly at that price and go back up to R14k easily

But the Koreans make decent tvs.
Sure from mid range up, but entry level is still entry level. Can only do so much when you cut corners, that Z770 normally goes for a lot more anyway and is raved about on the Toshiba forum here.

120mhz is not easy in that price range.
Exactly why you get the Z770 which is normally 15k and up :) it's the real deal and it's no contest at R10k nothing else matters
