They still sell 9800GTs? GTS250 is a better option, one of the newer successors of the 9800GTX+ IIRC.

I think we offended the OP so much he got up and left.

I think its possible to create decent budget gaming PC. You dont need a 6990 just to play games. My 5770 does me fine. You can even get by with less. The thing to remember is that A) the graphics of PC games havent advanced much due to the consoles, B) there are lots of old and good PC games that he can play if his rig wont run Crysis at maximum settings.
 
No I have been at work so did not have time to read or post till now....
Well Thank you for the choices given, at least I have some feedback that will help me decide, Ill read some reviews and look for game tests on the cards mentioned above. Now all I have to do is choose..... will probably go with ati but I dont think ill take the blu ray writer/ just standard dvd writer
