I went about 10 years ago to the Boma in Alberton, wasn't so bad.

Before it was the Boma it was called "A Far Off Place"... And that also burnt down.

we did go for my cousin bday there by skoongesig and it was very nice and also you can skelmpies put in a tupiware boul bcos they dont search you so you can put in the hele se meet for the bread the next day

I've only ever been to ONE buffet that was worth it. JaiPur Palace in Durbs. Absolutely amazing spread that was fresh curries, roties, naan breads etc. Loved it, I raved about it. And then I went back after year and it was just like every other buffet place. Bland cold food.

I've been to the Adega buffet @ Littlefalls and yes it is pretty decent. Like it has been mentioned, most of what you would get on the menu is on the buffet. But if you do the sums, you could still order from the menu and walk away saving a few bob. I enjoy the chicken only, the SO enjoys the prawns. Ordering both these off the menu still works out cheaper for us. We hardly ever do the starter, mains, dessert. So for us, its a waste.

So my overall view on buffets is it is just not worth it.

Definitely a sign. We went there often, BK (Before Kids), and they are now at a age where they would behave themselves enough to appreciate a good buffet.

my brother did move out to a flat so he didnt want to pay for the internet by my mumie place anymore so he did put it of but i did now find a job so i did get me cheep internet that my brother did tell me about so now me and my mumie go half

also found buffets to be quite expensive for food you get.

i however enjoy a good priced breakfast only buffet at O, Galito Centurion mall. roughly R50 per head drinks included.

Have a craving for buffets - ones where it's self-service and one can indulge to ones heart's content (or inevitably unfortunately over-indulge). Any suggestions? This could be a running list. I live in Pretoria so only interested in those but feel free to suggest any further afield.

I used to do them but after getting sick a few times l largely stopped. Only recent one I have been too was a breakfast one at Ciao baby Cuccina (Spelling?) at Fourways. Was OK but in retrospect ordering off the menu would have worked out just as well and the same price to get similar or better.

always worth it

bt the food is never of the highest quality
