Bugatti convertible!

From this post I take it you dont watch Top Gear? They pretty much confirmed it when James May "Captain Slow" drove it at that speed on a German Test track (Someone else can maybe give more detail)

He said the car doesnt feel unstable at all... Feels like its doing 120 ;)

Wahahaha... video editing is easy... :p

But for argument sake they used German government officials to do the measuring... for the bugatti and you should know germans are full of themselves...

Bugatti is an engineering excercise...make the fastest car possible (which it failed at btw). It's ugly, massively heavy and enormous.

I'd much rather go for something like this:
http://jalopnik.com/361929/ariel-atom-500-to-get-v8-power-upgraded-to-ariel-molecule

Arial Atom RS (Still to be released) Dual-Hayabusa sourced V8, supercharged to 500HP and weighing in at 500Kg, that puts it's power/weight at the same as the Veyron, but it weighs 1/4 as much.

The older version of the car, which only had 300HP, is the 3rd fastest accelerating production car. It's just behind the Veyron by a fraction of a second. Add another 400HP/ton and it'll be the fastest.

Plus it corners like nothing else.
..as an added bonus is that it's actually affordable, will probably cost about 1/15th of the Veyron

Edit: Worked out power/weight wrong. The RS will have twice the power/weight of the Veyron

So go for it, and dont come back till you have pics.!:)

Will the Atom RS be able to top out at 400+km/h? Is it even VAGUELY as practical as the Veyron?

As for the Veyron not being the fastest production car possible, as far as I knew, it was when it came out, it may not be anymore, but that is a different issue.

As for calling it ugly, that is your opinion and its different to ALOT of other peoples opinions since alot of people absolutely love the car.

Bugatti did not fail, at the time it came out it was the fastest.

You would rather have a stripped down track special, which is road legal, yes, but not really practical?

No thanks, I'll have the comfy two seater GT with A/C and all other luxuries and can do 400Km/h. :p

I think that's the point that most people seem to conveniently skip. If they don't mind getting their spines dislocated at 400 km/h then by all means go ahead and get a Koenigsegg (or any other car that is barely street legal).

Who honestly cares if it's no longer the fastest, there is absolutely nothing in the same league when it comes to the full package.

Evo, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Veyron: Weight 1 968kg lol. Veyron is a bloated piece of shyte. Frankly, if I were looking for a comforable tourer I'd just get a Continental GT (300km/h+ is just fine, thanks) and pocket several million bucks to spend on cocaine and prostitutes.
