But clearly also the networks are not serious about fighting crime - for too many years they have turned a blind eye to cell phone thefts - because a ready supply of cheap, second-hand phones obviously benefitted their prepaid sales...
Someone should ask the networks how they (Vodacom in particular through it's Look4Me service) can offer phone tracking 24x7 for R10 a month - yet when your phone is stolen (and still switched on) they require a court warrant before giving any location information?
