Building a new pc or buying from Computer Mania

Hey guys I knew you would be able to help me out. I have a vague knowledge of pc's and I have chosen to get a new pc and begin gaming again, the one I have now is a *** Dual Core.

Ok so basically I have looked on TakeAlot.com and from what I see they are cheaper than Wootware. Am I imagining things?

So I have chosen to go with the Intel Core i5 4690K Processor 3.50Ghz 6MB Cache - Socket 1150 for the processor. I feel this will be good value for gaming.

What mobo should I choose? So many choices its lank overwelming.

This is my build so far:

Cooler Master K380 Case USB3.0 with Side Windows - No PSU = R513

Gigabyte Nvidia GTx 750Ti Oc Black Edition Graphics Card - 2GB = R2327

Gigabyte P85-D3 Socket 1150 ATX Motherboard = R 1,240

Huntkey Green Power- 450W Power Supply Unit = R426

Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD 64MB Cache - SATA 3 - 6.0Gb/s = R708

Transcend JetRam DDR3-1600 CL11 DIMM Desktop Memory - 8GB = R1028

OK.

So thats basically what I have chosen. Im a noob so advise would be appreciated! Not sure if my PSU is enough.

Please guys tell me all your thoughts on this.

My man objective for this is.. Cheap case, with good quality parts that will last me a couple of years and allow me to upgrade in future.

Let me add I have looked at Computer manias builds and they sell i7 builds that look well priced to me. Hell I duno
 
Try to get a beefier corsair power supply. Have heard too many bad stories of huntkey

Lol! ComputerMania... Anyway, your choice with Takealot, Wootware, and Rebeltech will be fine. Takealot is coming out cheaper nowadays, especially with free shipping as well. What is your budget?

So, let's look at all the components:
Case: there are loads to choose from, but for now the budget one will be fine.
GPU: This is where your gaming grunt will come from, more than the CPU. Here is a card that will perform better for a similar price http://www.wootware.co.za/powercolo...rd-includes-2-free-games-amd-silver-tier.html
CPU & Motherboard: Here is where you have to make a decision (yours is currently sort-of wrong). You chose a i5 4690k (the "k" series are the CPUs you can overclock), but you also chose a P85 motherboard which won't be able to overclock the CPU. So, you are paying for a feature you are not going to use. You'll need a Z series motherboard to overclock and they are generally more expensive. Also, the P85 is the previous generation of motherboards, you should be looking at a H97 or Z97 to get the full benefit out of your CPU. If you decide you are not going to overclock, then I'll advise on getting the non-k version CPU. If you do decide you'd like to play around with that, then you'll need an additional CPU cooler. So many things to consider, right? Here are 2 motherboards recommended:

HDD: Nothing more to it... You can add more storage later, however, if you have the budget, try and pickup a SSD (128GB or 256GB) for you Windows, Programs and some games. Makes loading times a lot faster!
RAM: Nothing wrong with the RAM, but you can get better for a little bit more... AND SPARE THE SOUL THAT SAYS THERE IS NO REASON TO PICKUP THE "GAMING" RAM I'M ABOUT TO SUGGEST!!! Those sentences usually goes like this, "there is no performance benefit in getting gaming RAM over value RAM"... Those guys are still a few years behind when the price of RAM was still nice and low (God I miss those days :'( ). He always has the best prices and is just always goes out of his way for clients.

Guys I have looked at Computer manias price list to judge differences, and they have really good prices. Im looking at the i5 4690 3.5ghz now and its 1 490 on their catalogue and 2619 on take alot? Their i7 4790 is 2700. hell, for that price ill take the i7.

I would assume it would be more expensive to build a pc through computer mania>?
 
My new build specs are as follows:

Core i5 4690

AS Rock z97 Pro4

Crucial Ballistix Ram 8gb DDR3 1600

Seasonic M1211 520 W 80 plus bronze

Cooler Master K380 case

Seagate Barracuda 1TB hdd

Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 2gb. (Let me add I only want to go the Nvidia route, I dislike Radeon cards)
 
If the budget allows I will defos go for the i7 4790 if computer mania prices are correct or there is no catch involved lol. Im also liking the thought of 16gb of ram.

For me hdd space is not a massive concern, also I dont really care about solid state hdd. Also I will go for the cheapest case possible.

I have also decided I dont want to overclock. Which makes life easier.

I have chosen to go with the latest Z97 board too for future upgrade potential.

Tell me what you guys think and thanks for the advise guys, much appreciated

For such a powerful PC, the 750Ti will be paltry. The 750ti comes across worse than the 2gb 650ti with Boost in almost all instances but try getting avaliability of the 650Ti with Boost and you'll see why so many system builders have turned to AMD Radeon.

Oi Mate, those prices are for upgrading the Base PC on the page which retails for R7199, so upgrading to the i5 from the i3 would increase the retail price to R7199 + R1490 = R 8689
