Very nice!

I've never liked RF - they're expensive and give the bragging rights, but a little 'bleh'.

I ran MBQuart splits / Infinity sub / JL Audio sub and ran higher SQ than any of the guys with RF systems in their car - yet it was MBQuart was at the stage an unknown brand. If I remember they used to beat RF at the IASCA finals too and RF then decided to buy them.

My previous car came standard with 10 x Dyanudio speakers - fantastic as 'standard' sound

I used RF at the time because my mate was the installer and got them at a good price. I changed them for MB Quarts which is a better speaker. Interestingly both RF and MB Quart was distributed by the same guys locally but RF was punted as the better brand.

I also used Hertz and Focal speakers before finally deciding on Dynaudio. Very smooth sounding and if I upgrade it will only be to the Dynaudio Esotars which are simply sublime but at a price of around R40K for a set of component speakers.

I am not 100% sure about 6.5" for RunX front doors.

Are you certain about the 6.5" fitting the front doors and if so is it different from the back(rear) doors.

I have to confirm this on Friday...i think removing the board cover will give me tough time...

It was definitely 6 inch speakers in my car which was the 160 RX model so I am not sure about the other models. Had a 6 inch midrange and tweeter in the front doors and a 6 inch coaxial in the rear door.

Stay away from DVC unless you going to have a dedicated monoblock. So option 1 here isn't going to work. And you will need a mini powerplant to run it.

Option 2 might work if you run it bridged of a 4ch amp's rear channels. If I am correct this sub comes with a spec box.

You will need a monoblock to run a DVC, which means getting 2 amps. Rather get a SVC subwoofer.

The average DVC can handle more power than a SVC BUT it has to be driven properly. A well matched SVC will sound better than a under driven DVC.

That said i see you have chosen a 2ohm DVC, which means you will have to make sure that you correctly match impedances otherwise you will end up with a blown amp. My suggestion is to run the 2 voice coils in series so that the amp will see a 4 ohm load.

You have chosen some nice components but make sure it is installed properly, the speakers should fit in the run-x, an a spacer/mounting ring will have to be cut in any case. Who is doing the install for you?

I'm new here and in need of advice..... I have purchased 2 x15s calibra stealth (not sure of the spec, it's the black one with thick rubbers and orange rubber covering the magnets) 2000w peek each with 415 continuous power in a sealed superwood box, I'm not sure if I'm running it off the right Amp or box? , it's a targa dynamite 4000w (was thinking of getting a 12000w dynamite with a bass controller?) , but it rattles everything in my house, with the crossover set on 0db?

IS my set up right or nah?

Well as a start 2 x 15 calibras is not necessarily ever going to give you good quality sound.. it will give you loud sound, and deep bass... but thats about it.

If it's 415w RMS per sub, then you need an amp which can provide 830w RMS at 4 ohm.

If you're a cheapskate, then buy an amp which can provide 830w RMS at 2 ohm.

That 4000w amp you have is probably not even powerful enough to run 1 of those subs properly.

Yes that is possible. By "mids" are you referring to coaxials which can be powered off the headunit.

If you going with separates ie midrange and tweeter with external crossover then that would need a power amp to work optimally.

Remember to use decent power cables and ensure your battery can handle the extra drain that the amp/s will put on it. I am not sure the size of the battery in a Chevy Spark.

I think the subs will overpower the mids alot to a point were you turn them down, then you might as well have 1 sub.
