Building insurance basically I have 2 geyser claims and the damage they caused now the one has been fully approved but the other they say the damage is above the claim threshold so they are paying the settlement threshold now can I use that payment to get anyone to do the job as I'm certain this guy is quoting crazy prices ?

Just remember to put the new geysers outside. (If possible) So when they leak/burst again, the damage is less.
Also look at the pricing of solar geysers. Might be a chance to upgrade to one.
