I saw that and the pillars for the parking look on the flimsy side. Only two opposing ones on the outer edge and none in the middle??? Would focus on the quality of rebar and density. In that picture there seems to be no load distribution beams but that might be an oversight by the person creating the drawing.

The property developer isn't necessarily the construction company.

Developers get finance, clients, tenants, and then issue a contract for a construction company to make it.

The liability for this will probably sit with at least one of the following:
the construction company
their subcontractors
or the engineers.

Aye and that lot will have insurers who will have lawyers and experts out in force. These days formwork and temporary works need an engineer's design or at least sign off. Dept of Labour will be unkennelling their bloodhounds. If involved, best stay schtum.

Municipal manager Dr Michele Gratz agreed with the mayor, adding the current focus of the authorities was on rescuing the trapped workers.

Agreed either the Main Contarctor or the engineer will be accountable. No idea who teh main contarctor is I dont see a construction board or any info on internet ?
