Bulls rock Thread

You should come on over, the water is fine here. And from what I've seen from the sharks performance over the last couple of weeks, the pumas might be a challenge for them.

Not at all! But as they're playing the Griquas this weekend :erm:, that might be a different story

Go Leopards! :p

funny how he's a sharks supporter, but in the top5 posters in the bulls section....

funny how he comes in here, trolls, and then should we post something in the sharks thread, we're stupid/petty/trolls/"typical bulls supporters" etc...

but ya, whatever rocks his boat...

Like I said.... hypocritical Tit :p :D

It's not about fear but about supporting Gauteng's nearest neighbours :D

Sharks have the hoodoo over the Bulls now in CC ... so as they say, bring it on!

Now if only you could bring that into the S14 ;)

Man its going to be in interesting weekend in the CC, just think, what if the cheetahs get a place in the semis. Then the bulls and the cheetahs lay waste the pansies from the various sea side resorts. Then its the bulls and the cheetahs in the final, the way nature intended

Lol, that would be awesome :D But the WP and sharks are on form (sharks had a slip nothing more imo). But the Bulls are gaining momentum and it will take some stopping :)

...

Now if only you could bring that into the S14 ;)

I will concede that one ;) ... and I won't bring up dark history about that one  let's just say the next few weeks are going to be awesome! :)

Jip good rugby :)

At the moment I truely think we will so top class rugby in the finals....

Even the semi finals are going to be epic.

Bulls wasted to many chances in the first half, but whatever happend half time must have been good.

I think it will be a bulls vs sharks final... But at the moment I will not bet any money on one of the two semi finals' outcome.

Bulls won't make the final IMO ..... WP will have the better of them next week. Very disappointing the Bulls this season.

As free as opinions are....

:erm: Have you watched any rugby the last 3 weeks? Sharks almost losing to the lions.... WP losing to the lions.... Bulls looking the best they have all season....

But that might just be my logic :p:D

I'd rather we came close to losing to the Lions, who beat WP than look at a team beating the lesser unions and still not being that impressive, considering their usual.

Mmmm funny how even Mr Plumtree himself said that the national players are not fitting in just yet.

Also the sharks were not really impressive this weekend (45-30) against the griekwas. But like I said your opinion.

Like I also said, both the semis are to close to call. I believe the sharks and bulls will contest the finals but again I will not put money on that prediction

did you miss the Sharks game yesterday  The scoreline means nothing, that game was flippin awesome ....... Yesterday, Plum finally saw his returning players fitting in ;)

Have you watched in the last three weeks?

WP played the Lions on the 22 Aug... and won. You also fail to mention the Bulls "almost losing" to the Cheetahs in your summation.

Three weeks....

Blue Bulls 61 - 27 Griquas
Blue Bulls 30 - 27 Free State Cheetahs
Boland 16 - 72 Blue Bulls

W Province 50 - 7 Boland
W Province 43 - 3 Griquas
W Province 37 - 3 Platinum Leopards

So why exactly are the Blue Bulls so much more impressive than WP in the last three weeks?

They too scored highly against Boland but let in less points. The same against Griquas. And then of course we had the Bulls scraping through against the Cheetahs.

GO WP! We'll see you in the final at the Shark tank.

ROFL :D And in strides the one person that knows less about rugby than Mr Santana at bafana bafana.

Did you miss this weekend's game between the lions and the WP? Did you miss the fact that we played the cheetahs without our national players? (And I do freely admit the Bulls without their national players will take a year or two to rebuild). Ps did you also remember how many kicks at goal were missed by our two junior flyhalves? I doubt if morne will miss 7 kicks in a game.

Now pray tell what was your point? In the last weeks the sharks bulls and WP have had close games against bigger unions. To me the bulls being re-enforced by their national players, look a stronger team than the WP... Also the fact that we did not really get a thrashing from them with a sqaud (IIRC) where in 9 of the 22 players still qualified for the under 21 teams.

I would really like to know what was the point in/of your last post?

So we are including this weekend. Well that still does not eliminate the previous two results. Still not sure the Bulls have looked as impressive as you seem to think.

You also then had a WP team and a Sharks team that were not just wanting to win but had to win with bonus points for it to have any relevance. And this was not to scrape into the semis but to end top of the table. This effects your usual game plan and can often affect the final result.

Did you miss the fact that all the teams were without their Springbok players? Are you pretty much admitting that the Bulls are really three or four trick ponies and without those players they are useless?

Ps did you also remember how many kicks at goal were missed by our two junior flyhalves? I doubt if morne will miss 7 kicks in a game.

So did you watch the Sharks game? Did you see how many kicks were converted in what was reported as a pretty strong wind?

My point is that it is really only in your eyes that the Bulls have looked so much better! This is not really a comment of someone confident of these apparent Springbok "gods" that play for the Bulls :

Like I also said, both the semis are to close to call.

Answer: We get back 6 players that are if not the best in their position then under the top 3 in world rugby at current.

Bakkies Botha (Name a better nr 4 lock)
Victor Matfield (Name another lock that would form as an impressive unit with bakkies for a lock combination)
Fourie Du Preez (he might actually be the best rugby player in the world at current)
Piere Spies (Name a better 8th man currently)
Brayn Habana (world class)
Morne Steyn (was rated the most inform flyhalf above Dan Carter and the Git in the 2009 Tri-Nations)

Could you please tell me who else lost out to the national side so much? We did not lose the Januaries and Adi Jacobs types. Could you please tell me where you lost so much? Or actually any team for that matter.

So next time how about not trying to put words in my mouth? I surely never implied that the bulls are three or four trick ponies... but losing those players would cripple the SPRINGBOK team what do you think it did to a PROVINCIAL team?

Now please pay attention and answer me how the bulls and, lets say the freestate, lost the same amount to the national side? Or even the bulls and the WP? The only team that I can almost say lost as much are the sharks. You lost your front row. But not even the sharks losses can be likened to the bulls imo. Or is Ruan just so good that he counts for 4 players under the top 3 in their positions?

But I would like to hear your take on it.

Anyway the bulls scoring 50 unanswered points in the second half last week against the griekwas showed that they might not be close to the S14 form but none the less they are looking 100% better than a month or two ago.

Ps why would you think we could exclude this weekends games? Are they not relevant? I would have thought that they would be telling in a teams current form... must be me and my weird logic again.

Not to agree or get in the way of you and Lance but we lost key personnel too bru, you can't say it was just the Bulls who did ........

Kankowski
our entire front row of Beast, Smit and Bismarck (we were crippled without a front row)
JP Pietersen
Ruan Pienaar
Frans Steyn

;)

Well I did say you lost your front row now did I not?

Steyn will not be playing for you so silly name to throw in their. Its like me adding Dan Carter in their for the freestate losses. He is contracted somewhere else, deal with it ;)

Ruan is not in form.. IIRC he was dropped in favour of another player... They contested for the same position and Morne won out.... thus in all fairness that would then logically point towrds morne being the bigger lost to the provincial side that he plays for. (Really, no matter how much Lance will attest that Ruan is merely a lost god that is graceing us with his celestial greatness for a while :D).

Is JP seen as one of the top 3 players in his position in world rugby?

But like I said if you bother to read, it must be my logic thats crippling me.

So Im still waiting for how you also lost 6 players under the top 3 in their position in the world ps Ill give you John (he isn't but for his great captiancy and inspirational personality ill give you even), Bismarck and even Beast (I doubt he is yet but he is very very good).

JP may not be seen as being in the top three but the Springboks are definitely non the poorer for having him on the wing. It's shocking that anyone would think he's not valued.

I hope you are not suggesting that I implied that? Because if you are you are either not reading or simply a retard :)

I still don’t think you understand my point. The Bulls lost the most. Simple. I did not even list the other players like Guthro, Chilliboy, Russouw and Olivier. If you do not agree then please prove me wrong or at the least make a compelling argument for your case.

Like I said the bulls 22 pack having 9 players that still qaulified for the under 21 team is a testement of that. Lance put his foot in it, I corrected him.

Dear Lance
Ps just for the record, who imported the Arg. Flyhalf again? Are you saying the sharks are a 1 trick pony team? So your semi flyhalf (Ruan) goes to the boks and you import?
