The last prepaid data bundle I bought had an expiry date of 01 September, as per my account details on V4me. I took this to mean expiry at midnight on 01 Sept (today), so I was surprised to get an SMS in the early hours this morning informing me that my bundle had expired. Can someone explain how this is supposed to work?

sms seems delayed expiry is at 12 or just over 12 depending on the queuing process for depletion as everyone's expiry cannot happen at the same time.

So does data expire at midnight on the day prior to that specified on V4me? For example, I've just loaded 2 gigs, according to V4me it will expire on 1 November. Does this mean midnight 31 October or midnight 1 November

This system is screwed. I bought a bundle yesterday and it told me the expiry would be in November. A few hours later I bought an indentical bundle and the expiry had changed to October.

I'm also not getting the confirmation SMS's at all. I've even checked the SPAM log in case it ended up there.

Again, very unprofessional Vodacom.

Midnight 1 November, which is shortly after 23:59 31 October.

Obviously I operate on different logic. Midnight 01 September, for instance, is 12.00 PM or 2400hrs tonight. Anything after that is 02 September.

I know you're kidding, but how would you construe 'midnight tonight'? Is this the first seconds of today, or the last seconds?
Night has a vague definition, unlike a calendar day. If you asked me at 4am it would be the midnight just past and if you asked me at 8pm it would be the one coming up, irrespective of the date.

OK, I think I'm operating on Logic v1.0, so I'll just leave it at that before I confuse myself.
