Unless the kitchens dirty which with a brand new shop is unlikely.
Thats a fresh roach, so it didnt come in with the ingredients.

I had a Big King XXL at Kenilworth Centre. Just the burger. It was good, made all the more enjoyable as it was after gym.
I'll be visiting them on a regular basis from now on till I get to try more of the menu. It says on the receipt that they are giving away free onion rings for filling out a survey on www.mybksa.co.za. You need a survey code which is printed on the receipt.
edit: Lol, i noticed BK patrons are well trained to stand in an orderly queue away from the counters
Almost afraid to venture too close unless beckoned

Burger King has finally opened in Hatfield... had my first taste yesterday and its wasn't too bad.
I LOVE their bottomless drinks, I hope its here to stay Only reason why I would keep going back... bottomless AND you can refill and take away a full cup

go try the onion rings - they boss.
Ohh and the XTRA LONG CHILI CHEESE of course a **** load of processed cheese and Jalapenos give some bad gas

atleast its a proper restaurant and not the take away version (with no bottomless drinks) that we have in Centurion

Actually just saw this and remembered...
Had Burger King this weekend at the Pavilion.
I would say that at best its on a par with McD's... The mayonnaise used was bland as all hell, the patty was dry, the chips were crap... the only good thing was the bottom less pepsi.
Also, management at the Pavilion branch are useless. There was a queue out into the food court, but one teller was closed and had been for 15 minutes (at least), when we pointed it out to him he said it was due to shift change. He didn't like it when I pointed out that his shift changes need to be made more seamless since 15 minutes shows just how useless his processes are.

Burger King SA compares favourably with European outlets. The meat is particularly different in a nice way and the Whopper burgers are top. London beef patties are thick and grisly + reheated in a microwave. Our local ones are fresh and thin.
What is not great are the milkshakes. The chocolate one is very artificial and seems to be highly whipped milk rather than ice-cream or soft-serve. I've had these in London and they are regarded as the best. The SA version reminds me a bit of the McDonalds shake which is so full of thickeners it doesn't even get cold.
The fries remind me of Steers, which I like, but these are way over-salted. On my second visit I was given cold chips.
The best time to test their food is when the enthusiasm dies down and they have been open for a while.

1st one we went to at Sasol - Circle Centre Motors R55 Centurion was Great no Bottomless Fountain Though.
2nd one to open in Centurion at SASOL - Rooihuiskraal Service Station Hofsanger Rd Centurion was very limited in selection and service wasn't that great.
Keen to try Hatfield one as it's a bit closer to home without having to do a burger king road trip lol
