I have residential uncapped WA / octotel

Considering moving to a business package for a few months to get a system launched.

Does business fiber have a different router / fiber box ? Or is it just a prioritized / less contended connection And is it a noticeable difference in stability ?
Thanks

Unless you’re able to get a business fibre to your home (ie a business FNO runs past your house), you’ve only got access to FTTH services. Business fibre does come with SLAs and better quality of service, but also a term contract and much higher costs.

If anyone promises you Business fibre on your current install, you won’t be getting this SLA and you’ll be running off the exact same OLT and back haul.

I’d recommend upgrading your service to a better speed and buying better hardware for your house. You benefit from increased speeds and a more reliable setup in your home.
