Esquire is selling the buttonless manhattan stealth Touch mouse.

My previous bluetooth Manhattan mouse I bought from esquire was a piece of !$&?@ and didn't even last 3 months.
This new one does look cool though.

Anyone got experience with these?

I'd also like to know, I've never viewed Manhattan's quality in very high regard though it seems like they're trying to turn that image around. The mouse seems to be completely out of their normal price bracket.

But it comes with a lifetime warranty, so you know you've made the right choice! :P

Wow, that chick sounds bored out of her mind.

It's so new there is no reviews on Amazon for it. Can't even find any customer reviews on the Internet.

Isn't Esquire's "lifetime warranty" valid for two weeks? :D

A buttonless mouse? I' assuming that this uses a capacitive touchpad of sorts to detect button presses. This would make it very similar to the experience of tapping on a touch screen, which rather sucks when there is no tactile feedback.

Overall, I would think a buttonless mouse, or a mouse without tactile feedback for button presses, is pointless.

They said the same thing about touch screens some time ago. Just saying.

Yes but my touchscreen DOES provide tactile feedback.

You mean it vibrates when you push a button? Hardly the same thing as a real button, ask anyone who has tried using virtual gamepads, they're siff.

Yes, that would be the definition of tactile feedback. Nobody said it needed to be the same thing, otherwise we would stick with "the same thing". Tactile feedback on touchscreens is good enough the way we currently have it. Obviously there are times when this is not good enough (like hardcore gaming), but for the most part it is already standard, and accepted.

Now a buttonless mouse, I disagree with. The only benefit you could get from a buttonless mouse is that it is quieter - no clicking sound everytime you press a button. How awesome is that?? Not. I mean really, is that all it has to offer? Plus you've now removed my scroll wheel, which just makes me sad.

LOL - I didn't even like the Apple one - these touch mouses (is that right??) are a gimmick imo

chewed batteries, forever inadvertently scrolling across the screen, blech! sold it for cheap

I got the itch to go look at the mouse so I went to test it out.
Left and right clicking feels really weird and I keep on thinking I have clicked or not since I get no feedback. Judging where to click and how hard also feels weird but I think you can get use to it.
What killed the deal is this mouse doesn't support holding in click so you can't click and drag or click an area as easily.
To click in drag I have to double click on it and then click on it again and then move. So an extra double click step. All in all this makes the mouse just an expensive novelty.

I am looking at Touch mice as I have gotten use to using a tablet and looking at ways to make my mouse more productive. That Manhattan one was really bad when I tested it. Nice concept but not very practical.

I would rather get the Logitech one tbh, Manhattan is an okish brand and all but I don't see it lasting long.

Couldn't find a place that sells them for me to have a look see first. IC is supposed to sell them but it isn't listed on their website.
Microsoft Touch mouse is also one I would like to see firsthand.
Apple's magic mouse has been hacked to work on Windows so that is also one I am going to look at.
