Buy guild wars?

Ive never played it before. I looked at the trailers to see what's its about. it looks nice. Would you guys recommend me getting this?

I want to play Aion but it so expensive cause of the playing time you need to buy. 60 days = R300+

And the game itself costs R300+ how long can you play before you need to buy the game cards?

Yeah GW is prob the best MMORPG that does not have monthly fees.

Also you can pick up the complete set for between R350 and R400 IIRC.

Trust me, you want all the three main games plus the expansion (which comes in that version on Take2)
You need skills, professions and for later ~ weapons/armor
Really fun game and cant get enough of it!
Also you might wanna hurry up on your decision, Guild Wars holds special events:
around the 18th or so (December) it will be holding: Wintersday
That is basically christmas in Guild Wars, loads of fun events to take part in and some nice stuff to collect.

Yea, if you get the Complete Edition of Guildwars [all the xpacs, there are 4 of them], it's by faaaar a better buy than Aion.

You can also get it at BTGames for R279 BUT, only if you buy it via their online shop.

In-Store it costs R399 . I am actually buying this edition , and i was standing in store placing the order [stupid policies of theirs] , so will pick it up later . They had the box, i was about to pay and they go "R399" and i go "huh? it's R279 online" ? Anyhow, had to wait 2 hours for a online confirmation so i can get it for the cheaper price..same store, same payment method, extra red tape...silly silly silly

But anyway i digress. Aion you will get 30 days free with your original box purchase, then you need to sub for $15 per month. Aion also have much less content than GW , i mean we're talking 3 expansions here [in GW] vs. a game that just launched with pretty much limited content .

Ok I can buy it there wait for them to confirm the payment and collect it from their store at Boardwalk Inkwazi Mall. Not very far. I stay in Richards Bay.

Not without the confirmation form (unless you want to pay R399), you don't need to pay online even [just place the order]. I originally pitched up at the store [after checking the price online] and was about to pay when they threw the silly R399 price at me. So they refused to sell it to me for R279 until i place my order on their online store!

So on the online store, you just add it to your cart, during checkout select "collect in store" and "pay in store" , and wait for the email. THEN pitch up there, take it from the shelf [or let them get it from their little store in the back] with the confirmation form, pay the cheaper price and voila.

What a joke though, i understand their reasoning for the in-store boxes being more expensive [inventory/store costs] but geepers, you'd think they would be more customer sensitive and at least TRY to accommodate this situation without me standing in store, placing the order on my phone and everyone feeling the BTGames cashiers are just being arseholes.

I had nightfall and prophecies ... but I bought Factions online this morning and I got Eye of the North and a fire imp for free with it. Cost me R170. Sure it's only online. But I'm surprised that I didn't have to download a single thing. It just worked right off the mickey.

Don't touch Aion. Possibly one of the most simple and boring mmos ive ever played. It should be f2p.

I had Aion from the launch. It was pretty cool but unforgiving in terms of free traveling. Got up to lvl 21 and that was it.

Yeah, I got the nevermore bow, tiger's roar etc. /bonus items with my Prophecies Special Edition back in '06.
