Good day guys, I want to get a new motherboard for my pc. I would like to hear your suggestions. I would much rather buy the motherboard in my local area which is Port Elizabeth, but I need to know what brands and mobos are good. I want an AMD AM2 motherboard which supports SLI and dual core and DDR2. What manufactures do you recommend?

The price range I'm looking @ is not more than R1500,

thanks alot.

Poor dude didn't even get one reply, do any of you have a socket 939 suggestion for the above requirements?

From experience, I would go for an amd or dfi m/b. THere are couple in the price range that you are looking at.

DFI is the king at overclocking ...

If you are not into overclocking I would say go for an asus.

you know the sli-thing? I would say dont even bother. even tho i have one, if i were to get another m/b - a single pci-e slot suffices. reason is price/performance ... believe me ... when it comes down to the nitty gritties --- getting a better single card with higher performance is bettter than sli --- i know the guys will mention benchmarks etc, etc ... you have to think of cooling and noise, power consuption, etc.
