This question for the 8ta rep , or someone that might have an answer for me...

I bought a new iPad mini with cellular last week. I went and bought/registered a new nano SIM for this iPad. Inserted it and downloaded the 8ta app. I loaded R 160.00 airtime onto the nano SIM via my bank. I then went onto my iPad app and saw the money was there, however when I wanted to buy my 2 + 1 GB bundle, the app does not have this bundle in the list....also the bundles that they show on the app are more expensive than if I bought the bundle off the 8ta website.

Sooooo I go to the 8ta website, to register this new nano SIM so I can do online bundle purchasing. I fill in my SA ID number and SIM number etc.......but then this is where I fall short - it tells me it has sent an SMS text code which I need to insert in the form on the 8ta page in order to complete the registration. But.....I cannot receive SMS messages on my iPad, so how am I supposed to get this code they sent me ? The obvious answer would be to take the nano SIM out my iPad, and put it in a cellphone. But, this is a nano SIM, and the only phones that will take this size SIM is an iPhone 5 (I think) .....and I don't have one of them.

So I am at a loss to figure out how to convert my airtime to a 2 + 1 bundle ?

Call the 8ta call centre number 081 183 and ask them to convert your sim card to be for data, after they do that u will be able to view the 2+1 bundle

Has your Nano SIM been converted to a non-roaming 8ta SIM? You need to do this in order for you to be able to purchase the 2+1 data bundle. If your SIM can roam on MTN, then you cannot purchase the 2+1 data bundle for R149.00.

Tho I get charged only R146.00 when I purchase one of these bundles.

Many thanks. I have two other 10 GB per month 8ta contracts, and forgot that I went through that procedure.

With my new nano SIM, I just put it in my iPad mini and saw the 655-02 3G signal at full strength and so I thought that 8ta would have already provisioned my nano SIM for data when i got it at the 8ta store.

Thanks and HNY

Fantastic !!!!! Many thanks Jackson - that was it. I called 081 183, providioned my nano SIM for data. I then rebooted my iPad and voila, the 2 + 1 bundle appeared on the 8ta app. Thanks again
