I would suggest looking for a tazz. For R25k, you can get a decent one and spares are cheap enough and easy to find.

Even if the new owner is not mechanically inclined, anyone can work on a tazz.

Also light on fuel

what issues did you have?

My 2012 Punto was a great car - I wrote it off at 66K mileage in 2015 so it was too new to really pick any any major faults but the resale value was non-existent and crashing it was a blessing.

Then I got a 2012 Panda auto which gave me endless hassles. Leaky fuel tank, leaky auto gearbox, CV joints kept wearing, wheel alignment would go out after a speed bump. General electric issues, I couldn't use my headlights, rear or front windscreen wiper and indicator at the same time because the car would go wild and flash brights or activate brake lights so it looked like I was braking at sometimes high speed during a lane change or something during the rain. So yeah generaly it wasn't a pleasant car to drive. But it did run on fumes, I could get 600+km on one tank of around R450.
