Buying a Fiat Bravo

How much are the on road/car registration fees supposed to cost on average?

Bravo was not replaced by the Punto. It is a small family hatch (C-segment) and the Punto is a supermini (B-segment)... So, that is like VW saying that the Golf will be replaced by the Polo...

^this.
The Bravo was meant to be direct competition to a golf, not a polo.
The Bravo is actually a really nice car.

These Bravos are really nice cars, very underrated.

The Bravo is a really nice car, I test drove one a good few years back and was very pleased with it. Never bought one due to other reasons, but what a car. Packed with features and CAR has always rated it as underrated.

Yes the resale value will be poor and I am not so sure about dealer service...I guess the Bravo will be a buy cause you really don't want anything else and may not be making a logical, rational decision :)

I've never seen a bravo before in my life. Fiat make good reliable cars, the only thing I know of is part availability being a problem.

Where do you get a Punto being a Supermini? :wtf:

It's in the same segment as a Polo Vivo and a Ford Fiesta.

All that aside, no matter how nice a car the Bravo is, it's resale is very low, and 70k for a 6 year old Bravo is pushing your luck.

This is a 500 which I would classify as a Supermini.500 stripe 1.jpg

GOOD GRIEF! :wtf:

Super Mini it is, then - :p - maybe in American terms it's uber small, but it's a normal small car to me! :)

Slightly off topic, but the Fiat Panda was the best car from a value for money perspective that I've ever owned. Was sad to see her go but at least she went to a good home.

The Punto was ok but I hated the lack of a boot handle - grated on me every single time.

You are a car salesman? :p

It is the correct term... and you still compared the Bravo to a Punto. Isn't Fiat one of the brands at your dealership? :D

Yes it is, but the Bravo is no longer sold here, and we took over the Fiat side a couple of years after it was discontinued ;)

As for opening the boot on the Punto - you push the badge in and then lift the boot from the bottom.

Aha, thanks... OT question (sorry Moflava)... When are we seeing the new Cherokee and do you guys have local pricing yet?

Not on the model I had - that badge was fixed - and the gap at the bottom was tiny

As someone who delt with all the Fiat dealers on their CSI index, i would advise staying away from French made cars.

There is a world wide delay on the launch because of gearbox problems in the States, so we have no local pricing yet - probably mid 300's.

Thanks. That is unfortunate. Hopefully just calibration issues. That 9-speed seems great on paper.
