Buying A New Notebook - Hate Budgets...

Nice way to ask for help hey - shout at us and call us poor :D

Anyway take the price you paid for all your stuff and knock 33% for each year you have had it. That would be its value. Then consider that you could get a new system with better performance for not much more than R4000. Take it from there....

Same with the laptop. Most people calculate depreciation of computer equipment at 25 or 33% / year. Of course you may find somebody who is prepared to pay more....

Not really skipped to the end and gave my opinion... Cant read through every thread and every post... If it bothers you just ignore it... Or report it.

*sigh*

You are effectively asking us for help in swindling some poor bloke out of some extra cash simply because he lacks adequate IT knowledge... And then getting bitchy when we attempt to help you work out a more marketable price.

Nice.

Wait, let me get this straight.

You post on a forum requesting assistance with something. You then expect random strangers to take time out of their day to plow through your entire thread, take some time to decide what they think is best based on what has been said in every single post, perhaps do a few google searches to be sure, and then respond in a manner that is not only helpful, but tells you exactly what you were hoping to hear in the exact manner you wish to hear it.

Be grateful people are actually giving you their opinions, don't complain because they didn't take the time to read through your entire thread. That's arrogant, not intolerant.

Well, I know you're talking about the not-so-knowledgeable people in East London thinking : What they don't know can't hurt them..

Its wrong to do business that way, it will come back and bite you in the ass..

You sold me a router at the start of the year, sent me a pic of a Netgear wireless router.. And it had no wireless capabilities..... And I paid R500 + YOU screwed up and sent my router to the wrong person, so I had to pay postage twice. (2*R50), and it came with no ADSL filters (R30 * 2) or a network cable (R50)..
So you had me pay R710 for a second hand router without wireless while I thought I'm getting a router for R500..

It was wrong of me not to do better homework, but even more wrong of you to create the impression that the router will cost me R500 when it ended up being that expensive.

I dearly hope you learn a lesson at some stage in your life.

If you're a good person: Sell the stuff at a price where both the buyer and seller is happy.
