Piece of crap.

First it gives me video problems, then it starts scratching disks and then it stops reading them.

Buying a new one this weekend. :(
 
How old is the Xbox? Can't you swop it out. I swopped out my first Xbox after it started to scratch my discs. Phone microsoft, get a reference number and take it back for a swopout.
 
Yes, they quite cool - just have the seial number available.
Xbox customer care number is 0800 991550.

Mine died last night EtienneK...I feel your pain.
 
If your 'box is less than a year old, you should be able to exchange it at the retailer you bought it from with no hassles. Mine started acting up after 10 months, I drove down to L&L and they exchanged it, no questions asked. I just needed my proof of purchase, which I still had. :)
 
so you still have a year left on your swopout ....... get a reference from MS and do it.

ok, just phoned Tygervalley here in CPT and they know NOTHING about it. i'm assuming that special is only at that branch in JHB
