I'd suggest rather saving up for a PS3. Xbox hardware are to consoles what Chanas are to the automotive industry.

I know 2 people with Xbox 360's and they have both gone belly up and have had to be replaced.
Maybe you better introduce it to your hairdryer, or Maestro ...
Was thinking the same a while back. I don't have my proof of purchase anymore though. How will i go about swapping it out in that case?

hmm, in that case MI will charge you a "swap-out" fee, which as I understand is the same as a "repair" fee for an out of warranty box, so probably not worth it.
Ahh, that sucks. Thing is, i've still got the merchant slip of where i bought it and the amount, but the ink on that thing has practically all but faded, so not sure if they'll accept it. Suppose it might be worth a try.

To be honest I don't think they even check the box in store, you could just say it Gives you intermittent RRoD. That's how mine started ...
