Buying a TV

To all the TV watchers out there
I have decided to get conned out of some money this black Friday/November and buy a TV.

Any other TV suggestions I dont need a big TV and would spend around 5K

Are cheaper 4k TVs real 4K or is it a marketing Gimmick
I plan on watching Netflix, showmax and dstv online.

Do all these services run via a smart TV or will I need some sort of smart box?

I have 1 of those , as far as I know its the cheapest actual 4k tv locally
the tv is quite good, just the HDR on it is horrible
I sometimes watch netflix from the app on the tv itself and works good, not sure about showmax
