Buying a used car advice..

Tomorrow I'm test driving a car, it is a toyota conquest 1996 model.
Has had 2 owners, both females, and has 145000 Kilometers.
The price is R30 000.

Should I negotiate the price down, bcos there is no alarm/spare wheel and the immobilizer might not be working?
Or am I pushing my luck?

Find out what insurance will pay you in bad events like stolen...

Then decide what the best offer will be. No point paying 30k for a car insurance will pay 15k for. 20k might be more realistic

The Toyota Conquest is a very good car (popular, reliable).
I see the price 2nd hand ranges from 30-40k with only one or 2 below R30k (20k lowest)

See how much you can negotiate them down in price. (Car also need to be roadworthied, need a red triangle in the boot with jack, ect.)
Have you Googled yet to see what you need to check for on a 2nd hand conquest?
 
Oushing your luck. R30k does not buy much car these days, and as long as it is in a good condition, I say buy it and fit the rest after.

Does a vehicle have to have a jack/red triangle for it to be roadworthy?
We will do a roadworthy check of course, prior to buying the car.

Afaik. Only compulsory for vehicles bought after a certain year model. At that age a triangle is not compulsory. Sorry I can't remember year model, but is 200?
