Buying an N97

Ive been following developments only slightly with regards to new phones over the past months.

N97 has always drawn my interest. V2 firmware being out now as well.

I am looking to buy the phone. R397x24 with MTN Anytime 200 is the best deal ive found so far.

What do you guys think of the following?

1) Should I wait a bit longer for the phone to come slightly cheaper on contract? (Do you think it would)

2) Are there any better phones you would think is better?

HTC Hero seems popular at the moment. I'm holding out for the Nokia N900.

I was also thinking about getting a Nokia N97 a few months ago.

im also thinkin of buying a N97, but I will wait till about December, cos i wanna buy it cash, no contract. Hopefully the N900 will be out by then & the N97 price will come down a little. Best cash price so far seems to be Makro at R7500 & Incredible Connection at the same price. MTN & Voda = R8500

MTN Sandton Morningside are selling the N97 for R6748 but have no stock Thinking maybe I should bet the Blackberry Bold 2 when it's released next month.
