Hi Guys,

I want to buy something from Amazon but the item isn't delivered to SA. I know companies like have2have provide this service but their mark up is high. Are there other more reasonable options?

I've just registered on WannitUS after reading a bunch of good things about them online (in relation to sites like MyUS.com)...
Haven't ordered my stuff yet, but registration was very easy so maybe give it a try.

Yes stay away from MYUS. they lost my items in December, and wanted me to file a claim with DHL. I told them that's fraud because you admit you did not ship it.
Yesterday they found the items and expect me to pay for shipping on items that I paid them to ship already.

I used importitall for a leather tablet case and found them to be quite competitive, and their communication was excellent- they sent updates when they placed the order, when it shipped to SA etc. Either way you are paying double shipping, import duties, their profit etc, so who ever you go with, expect to pay a lot more than going directly through Amazon. I would look on ebay also to see if someone is selling it there- you may be able to save a few bob

Check out this link:

I've used these guys myself and had great service.

I used them between November last year and Jan 2014. Their service was great, and I would certainly use them again.

What you have to be aware of when you use any remailer is that Amazon will charge you GST, and that the courier fees are pretty steep regardless of who you use.

I've also had to return one of the items as it was defective (not Amazons fault - bad Asus quality control), and while Amazon will refund me and even pay for the shipping its a major PITA.

Shouldn't have called it GST, it was Sales Tax, and I also paid:
CA Electronic Waste Recycling Fee ZAR 31.38
