Buying Games off steam

Hey all

Quick question but when you buy a game off steam eg TF2, how long does it take for it to become available on your account? or for them to send you the CD Key or whatever happens?

When you want to format just copy the whole steam dir to another HD, or install all your games on another HD to start with (especially MMORPGs and things like Steam) so you don't needa go through the whole download/update process again.

S1ght, buying something off steam have been smooth to me so far and you get your key/access to the game emmediatly, obviously you wait to download the actual game which could taKe a while depending on the size.

You could speed this process up if you have a friend that owns whatever game you are trying to get, for example my sis wanted TF2, I copied my TF2 files from steam/steamapps (GCF files) and the steam/steamapps/myfolder/team fortress 2 files to her folders at the correct lcoations and it took only a few minutes for her steam to check the files before she could play.

ive bought cs: source before for a mate and its immediate on the account and i backed up my gfc,s and gave to mate and no problems
need a credit card thou ....
