Bye but not Farewell

Congratulations V3G/Jannie. I joined MBB in December 2005 after I bought a 3G card but only after that realised that my new laptop (Fujitsu-Siemans) only had an express card slot. Wanted to return the card and cancel the contract but Vodashop said no. You picked up from my post on MBB, intervened, and resolved the situation in my favour. You also recommended I get a Nokia 6088 to use as my modem, which I did. Great phone!! Used it again last year after my Nokia N73 broke down and it did an excellent job filling in till I could get my new contract phone. I wish you well in your new position. iBurst is fortunate to have you, as are their customers.

Jannie, thank you for personally sorting out some of my problems. You have made my Vodacom wireless a pleasure to have over the years..Cheers.B.

Thanks for all the help, you made a difference.
Good luck with your future endeavours!

WOW! I am really sorry to see you leave, V3G! You'll be sorely missed!! :(

Congratulations on your promotion. Well deserved, indeed!!

Thanks so much for always being there for us when we needed your assistance.

If it's the same Morne from the call centre who assisted me so promptly, efficiently and courteously last year, then you've made a great choice!!

Go well, friend ...

Best of luck to you V3G,

This is the first forum i've been a member of that has such a great response from a company as large as Vodacom and i think thats a feather in your cap.

Hope Iburst works out for you :)

@VodacomData, a belated welcome, I hereby dub thee vcd, and I berate [-]Basilrsa[/-] v3g for using "VD" which is not acceptable.

Firstly, thanks very much for all the messages of support I received from you bunch on the iBurst appointment. I'll post in the announcement thread soon (not as v3g!).

The last 4 years (and 12K posts) have been an amazing journey for myself. I've made many, many new friends and learned so much from this forum and its members.

myBB is truly a great community, more like a family actually, and the ability to bring a large comms company like Vodacom into this family was (obviously) a win-win for everyone. Vodacom learned massively from you bunch and, in turn, I believe the ability to expose you guys to some of the complications of such a beast, helped many understand (not necessarily agree!) it a better.

One of my biggest concerns was to leave the Vodacom forum in capable hands and Morne featured high on my shortlist (of one!). For a number of years now, Morne has been my 'go-to' guy to resolve your problems and I quietly accepted the thanks for his hard work!!

I told him to pick a nick you guys can't abuse and thus I also have no problem calling him VD!! (Will teach him how this place works :))

So welcome VD. You'll get to know the people on here and although most of them are mentally unstable, it's a great crowd!

Lastly, iBurst already accepted Frangelico as the company drink and don't for a minute believe the socials are over!!

Take care, all of you....sniff....
ROFL @ VD. Nicks that are vulnerable to STD's are always welcome :D

/wave @ V3G ...
Please refer to VodacomData as vcd or VCD, and not VD...

Well Jannie .... IBurst (almost) into tears :D hearing that you are leaving us. You've been a voice in the dark for many users for some time now, a person who has been able to crack the whip and get things fixed when users requests have gone ignored otherwise, you will be sadly missed. Your replacement has some big shoes to fill but I wish you every success with your new appointment.
