Bypass password in windows?

Hi All

Got a problem: the little jr created a password which he can't remember!
How do I get around the password because I need to use my PC.

at the login screen try pushing alt control and delete twice.This will then bypass you to admin login.Now for some reason admin and the word password might work

FAIL.... always create an admin user with strong pa55w0rd...

Then create a "jnr" account with limited rights....

To fix your problem, google (from work or the pc you typed your post) windows +password +linux +cd.

Download ISO
Write ISO (google for free CD writing soft)
Boot from CD
Change password

Do you know the administrator password for your PC?

Try logging in as administrator with no password or try guessing it. If you get in, change the regular user account password via control panel.

I've lost my Windows XP password. What should I do?
In the event that you forget the password for your own system, there are a few things you can try:
a) Try logging in with the Administrator account. At the Windows login screen, hit Ctrl+Alt+Del twice, type the username "Administrator" and attempt to log in with a blank password. If this is successful, you can easily reset your user account's password by right-clicking on (My) Computer -> Manage -> Local Users and Groups -> Users and then right-clicking on your username and selecting "Set password".
b) Use a bootable CD/DVD. There are many to choose from, such as Knoppix STD or BartPE. These bootable CDs usually include some form of software to reset the password. I recommend using BartPE and integrating Sala's Password Renew. Also have a look here.

Wahahah! Believe it or not, but we had this at the office. The techie we had hired set up some of our machines and when he left we sat their punching in our standard admin passwords. Until ofcourse I thought "hang on... he was lazy" and hit ENTER.

On the other hand, this techy's lack of work completion was accounted for by the fact he'd been working his way through our call agent staff, if you know what I mean.

Get ERD2007 or something similiar. Boot off CD and reset the admin password.

What jr doing with andim rights on your PC anyway.

Lil Ook also does funny things on the PC.

But I have already (at the first sign of trouble) downgraded their account, and created another one for myself

So he cannot lock it out.

Oh... I also set a password up on the BIOS - and somehow he managed to bypass it and mess the CMOS settings up

Think he might be a good hacker someday
