C&C 3: Kane's Wrath

Anyone actually finish this game?

I bought it like ages ago, and I just didn't bother to play it because I really thought C&C 3 was a crock of crud, anyways, Installed KW and 2 days later, I finished it.

All I can say is... (and I need to do this)


WTF!!!!!!!!!!

The ending sucked, just liked the original... WTF is EA doing to C&C franchise!

When Westwood did it, you had closure, with all these EA C&C's the feeling of "leave them wanting more" just doesn't explain how PO I get at seeing the ending.

Even my woman (who was watching me play the last level) said to me... was that it? that the ending? why did you like this game again?

Had to vent... I miss old games where they actually put EFFORT into the damn things!

After this, I decided that come RA3, i'm going to get a ISO copy before I buy it.

I'm not going to spend R400 ± on a game that I will ultimately buy, bring home, install, play for a few minutes and put on my shelf.
 
Each to his own, I guess. I try and do extensive research on a game before I buy it. I read reviews, watch trailers and game-play footage and, if possible, download a demo. If I'm still keen on it, I only then go out and buy it. BTW, I think Cane's Wrath (CW) was only supposed to be an expansion pack, so I kinda guessed the game wouldn't be too lengthy, even compared to the original C&C3. Also, the new factions etc. were introduced to spice up the multiplayer portion of the game, so I think that was what EA's main focus was for CW.
 
EA really messed up the Westwood brand.:(

Only played till Act 2...then real life got in the way.
 
I finished it...don't remember what happened in the end but I don't think I liked it either (the ending), the expansion wasn't that great either, felt more like a way to take my money...
 
Same here... it ending with kane having the tacitus and him putting it into the machine and saying that it's time to becoming something greater than what you currently are, then it goes to credits.... WHAT A SHYTE ending! OMG! MAN!
 
Been a RA fan since day one - with RA3 coming out soon decided I would buy C&C3 to get into the mood again. The game has been decent enough but damn those movies inbetween missions are Cheesy - I dont think I have watched one without reaching for the esc key. I hope RA3 is more of a RA1 than RA2, wish that they would just re make RA1 (same units etc) with todays graphics that would be insane.

Now you spoilt it for me. Gee thanks :D

So, it's not as good as the ending in Red Alert where the hot Russian officer empties a clip into Stalin and then Kane cops a feel just before killing her and ends it by delivering one of his now famous monologues :)

I think RA3 will be different, but sorta the same in a sense...

I'm not buying it straight out... I'll get a copy first... if it's anything like C&C 3 but with different graphics and story, then stuff EA!
 
Ya I got my beta, I haven't been able to update it yet though since the update was 800meg...200meg less than my cap...grr, but used a menu unlocker to look around skirmish mode (no AI) but the 1st beta release is lacking a lot. It uses almost all the old RA2 sounds and music and doesn't have any super weapons and I'm not sure about all the units...
