C&C RA3 DRM?

Hi everyone

Was looking to buy Red Alert 3 so I did a search on it, found out it comes with DRM, specifically SecuROM. Did anyone get a copy of the game and did it cause any problems? I don't want to install DRM because of potential problems it may bring but I want the game. Help!

I didn't have any problems with the game, the only issue I have, and it's huge is that the game is CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!

I played it for 2 hours and never touched it again.
 
If you don't want the DRM, install the game and apply a "patch" before starting it.

I installed the game and never had any problems. Perhaps I am one of the lucky few who have never had a problem with any DRM ;)

Agreed 100%, don't even bother with this game.
 
Is this game really that crap???? That sucks, I used to be a huge fan of the series. Was looking forward to this... I think the new star craft will be better?

I have the original Disk (yes I bought it), loaded it, used a no CD/DVD patch/crack from gamecopyworld.com (this allows me to play without ever touching my original disk - thus preserving it) - not piracy!

the game play was fun for me, had been many years since I played any of the RA games. But I still enjoyed it.

Awww the internet world police spoils the fun once again. I'm still amazed by how many lawyers are around here. Would you care to point to or quote any documents that show how using an altered executable "borders on piracy" instead of just moaning about and proclaiming such things?

Of course, in the meantime we'll disregard that he's talking about legally purchasing a copy of the game :rolleyes:
