Anyone experienced a sudden error popup containing something like C++ Runtime errors or something, and when you click OK on the error message it closed VMC...?

I have noticed that sometimes when an SMS comes through, then it displays that error.

Steps to fix C++ Runtime Error:
1. Remove SIM from Datacard
2. Insert SIM in a cellphone
3. Remove all messages stored on SIM
4. Insert SIM in datacard and no more C++ errors (or until the next SMS) :D

I was very good friends with that C++ Runtime Error, or at least that is what the Vodafone Mobile Connect software thought. I ended the relationship abruptly though and flashed my E220 with the stock firmware :D

Huawei FTW!

Which version of VMC?

I believe that existed in one of the earlier versions of VMC 9, but should be gone in 9.2 which is available for download from the Vodacom website.

Or you could use the Huawei software if you prefer.

I know what you talking about. There's still no cause and solution to these errors.

I had a customer once that had it. He came to me, i checked it out, couldnt fix it. Later he comes back, saying it dissapeared by itself and it all running smoothly. Later again he mails me saying it came back again, and i havent heard from him since... mustve dissapeared again.

I think it has something to with shared dll's that Windows and other apps uses. The customer removes those apps, along with it the files, and in turn VMC crashes (just my thought).

And ja, you right, it was fixed with version 9.2.

What i did notice earlier last month that i had for 3 consecutive days customers coming in with VMC 7.x that throwed out those runtime errors (and it previously work perfectly fine). Re-installing didnt help either.
