Hi

Anyone know where certifications can be obtained in cabling, CAT5e/6 Fibre etc? This would have to be in Cape Town.

Decent installers would test the cables, frequencies, and db loss on the cables as part of the installation. You should then receive a certificate for each cable indicating that the parameters and loss of the cable is within the standard installed (i.e. CAT5e / CAT6 / etc).

There's many companies out there that will be able to provide you with the testing and certification of the cables.

As in a certified installer certification?

You can get it from Krone for copper cabling. There is a SA Fiber installers association, dunno the name, which could probably help witht he fiber. You will also need certified & calibrated test kit.
