Hi guys,

First post here, but I have been lurking every now and then. There seems to be a wiiiddee interest base on here! Hoping to pick the CAD guys' brains!

I recently finished my Architectural Draughting diploma, and am looking into a CAD career. (Not sure what exact discipline yet, but I would like to do some 3d modelling).

The only certification or courses I could find for CAD all looks to be the same course offered by different people. I want to do the Fundamentals and then Advanced course. Links below.

1) Does anyone here have experience with these courses? If yes, which do you recommend?

2) Is this the right step to getting into a CAD-orientated career? I am afraid of wasting money on something that looks pretty on paper but is not really relevant/useful.

3) Am I missing any other degrees/courses/avenues to get into computer designing?

4) Do you think that I could find employment/apprenticeship whilst doing the Advanced course?

5) IS there more demand/better payment for certain draughting disciplines?

6) Any general advice on CAD training and getting work/working? Please share your experience of the industry and how you got into it!

Sorry for dumping all these question son my first post, but hey, I wanna know :)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Cheers!!

This one seems to be unique from the rest, not sure though.
