Even Apple discovered shrinkflation recently, smaller battery & no more free chargers and cables for the iSheep..

The most disgusting change is that Toblerone mountain peaks growing so many miles apart tho.
Seems more like TobleGrandCanyon now than some Swiss mountain peak..

I'm still bitter how dirty they did us with Pringles.

Pringles are sooooooo shite now, chip is only about 2/3 the size of the tin, filled about 2/3's as well which means they roll over and break, no more is the nice cardboard tray or generous seasoning, nee fok man.

And tins have gotten much smaller. A real shame.

Most of those expensive chocolates are no better than the cheaper ones.
Lindt uses additives to give the creamy texture. Its still a more pleasant chocolate than Cadbury but very overpriced.

Proper Swiss and Belgian chocolate is great, its just not so easy to get hold of in SA.

Godiva is delicious. Holy moly

Lindt is like R55 a slab now :crying:

When I left South Africa, Lindt slabs cost R40, or around R32 if you found a Checkers special.

When I arrived in the UK in January 2019, they were £2. They are still £2 in the UK.

Sad to see how much they have increased in SA.

Note the price per 100g, that's about R25/100g.

So quite in-line with international, but I think they upped the prices in Europe in Feb or so for the first time in a while by ~10%.

Buy the imported Cadbury instead of the local stuff. Thank me later.

Where from?

Some Spars as well as other smaller shops. The Oreo slab used to be imported before being made locally. The £1 bags are all imported. And no, they’re not better. They’re just different since it’s new to us here.
