Calabash 2026

Calabash is a master class on how not to organize an event.. announced the lineup 2 months before the event after clear issues getting a headliner.. No transparency they signed Muse up last minute and got screwed for it

I don't think you can blame Calabash here. Muse cancelled all concerts in this 3 country tour. Probably doesn't make financial sense for the band unless the whole tour takes place.

I agree that Muse pulling out was likely the reason for the cancellation, but Calabash really dropped the ball here. We bought tickets for the previous Calabash almost a year in advance, but this year they only announced the lineup two months before the concert. Their lack of communication, first with the lineup and then with the cancellation was disappointing, to say the least. People were already getting refunds before Calabash even officially announced the concert was cancelled.

Previous 2 years were great for me concert wise, with the 2 x 100% Retro concerts and Calabash 2025... this year will be a drought I guess and my wallet will be happy for it lol.

For me it isn't a big loss, I saw Muse at my coke fest like 20 years ago, they are fine but not Offspring/Greenday levels.

Simple plan was my only reason for wanting to go but also not a train smash if I dont see them.

I would agree that Muse pulled out, but the planning was all over the place, we were promised a lineup announcement in November then November came and went with no news. They were clearly scrambling to find artists which in my mind shows a lackluster approach to organizing the event. I mean surely if you're announcing an event for the 7th of Feb you have basically locked in talent and are just finalizing the details. I think they dropped the ball here and I hope negotiations are well underway for next year because for me they're going to need to hit it out of the park,
