Call for Tuks name change

As per usual you talk through your teeth.

At most of the Afrkaans schools the darkies that were allowed varies dramatically.

Ermelo: 123 of 1200 = 10.25%. Now the bruwwer government forces them to be dual medium. So that everybody can participate.

It is raw politics and nothing else.

Please don't make out that your rethoric is arguments.
Can you tell me what the point of Afrikaans only schools is if it leads to the exclusion of non Afrikaans pupils. In this post apartheid era such exclusions can no longer be tolerated.

Really? What about the share schemes designed with distinct and documented exclusions of white people specifically then?

You also get English only schools. Schools for the disabled, slow of learning, etc. That does not mean that they discriminate against anybody. They are simply purpose build.

If a black person wants to go to a Afrikaans school, it's all well, he knows it's Afrikaans, and thus will need to be able to understand and speak Afrikaans. The same for a white Afrikaans person which goes to a English school. That person understands it's a English only school, and accepts that he/she will only be speaking and receiving his/hers education in English.

I really can't see what the whole issue is about schools or universities that cater for one group only. If the DoE, and SAQA is doing their job, all education facilities will have the same level of education.

I agree with this. I also don't understand why we can't have schools/universities for a single group only. Lets have mixed schools, and universities for people who don't mind training in english only, but lets also have a Zulu school for people who want training in zulu, and afrikaans university where people can go to, to have education in afrikaans, and a sotho tech, etc, etc, etc, where people can be free to get education in the language they choose. To me this is freedom of speech, which we are supposed to have in our constitution.
Unfortunately it seems, the government does not want to build more institutions to give each language group a place to learn in their own language, so they just hijack existing places and forces the language issue, so much for freedom of speech, and freedom of association.
Wake up! this has nothing to do with return to apartheid, but everything to do with freedom of association, and the right to have education in your prefered language, for all races and all languages.
Stamp out the soustrain corruption, and there will be enough munny for more institutions... which u can name what u like, as a new building :D
