I want to put a call limit on a number. It's on contract. (Talk 240) I do not want the account to go more than R100 extra after all the free minutes have been used. So after the free minutes another R100 on calls; data;etc then softlock . Now on Vodacom4me there is a place to set it but I don't understand it fully. It has permanent and temporary voluntary amounts settings. If I enter R100 in the temporary selection and enter a time period will it softlock the phone after the additional R100 or what ?

So I want to pay my normal subscription fees plus R100 extra.

Thank you

I just tried checking on my number using www.vodaocom.co.za so that I can explain to you...but it says I dont have access. Urg. Anyway, should you want, I can email you the call limit form....you fill it in with the amount ex VAT you want loaded as your call limit with a copy of your ID to me and I will have it loaded for you. Remember, once the limit is loaded and the line gets locked, only emergency 112 calls will be allowed.

A temprorary voluntary lock means that you decide for how long the lock should active.EG. if you decide that you want it for 3 months then thereafter it will automatically be removed.

A permanent lock means that it will be active until you decide to remove it.

Be careful with data though, the data counters only get updated hours after you've used the data, so even with a spend limit you can still run way over it on OOB rates. IMO Vodacom should be liable for ALL costs over and above the spend limit. It's not the consumers fault the billing system is not real-time.

I understand only emergency calls. Thank you for your offer to help.

I understand that portion, so when I enter R100 in the voluntary section it means that I can still make calls; use data; etc to the value of R100 (after I used up the free minutes) before it gets locked but I can still receive calls ?
