Hi Guys

does anyone know if it is possible to have your business name show up on the person u are callings cell/voip phone even when they dont have your number?

almost like the similar to true caller but just by passing the Caller ID name to your voip provider?

If the call is VoIP end to end then the caller name and number are typically passed through together and will appear if your handset is correctly configured.

Have not seem that work to the GSM networks though.

lets say it is possible but no one wants to implement it because the first issue would be returning a call

It used to be possible but ICASA doesnt allow you to manipulate your outbound CLI. So, you could probably still do it, if the provider (and their upstream provider) passed on the CLI you send....

It was banned for a good reason... people calling and SMS'ing as FNB, 10111, etc...
