Caller's name not showing

There's one contact on my N95 8GB whose name is never displayed, whether I send/receive a call or sms. I've tried copying the contact to the sim and phone memory, deleted it, duplicated it but nothing seems to work.

How is this possible?
 
I had the same thing in the past with Nokia's. I had the number saved under two names. As soon as I deleted one it worked again.
 
I had the same issue on my N80, irritated the living lights out of me.

Everytime my mom called only her number would come up, never "Mom".

Never figured it out. But try a firmware upgrade, will proably resolve the issue.

Haven't checked for upgrades lately, but will do

This is very strange ! My N82 did the same with my mom - and I have her saved under her full name, not something like "mommy".... It does not do it any more - not sure why...
 
We discussed this before on the E71. I think it had something to do with two entries the same (card & memory).
In order to work, the contacts have to be in the phone memory AFAIK.
 
I posted about this thing about a month ago for my E71. I tried everything but never worked. Only a hard format solved it.
