I am in a pickle. I need to mask a Virtual machine with a real CPU and GPU Specs. Preferably Custom defined to mimic a real PC for reporting software. This includes screenshots of the hardware and Active services.

Any Ideas?

MY employer is forcing me to install Spyware to track my every move outside of work hours.

That'll be very difficult (if not impossible)...and frankly a major hassle.

Is it your gear or employer owned gear?

My personal Computer.
If they want to dictate what software run on it they can supply you with company gear.

This isn't really an IT issue but rather a **** employer issue. Its simply not a reasonable request to ask employees to install spyware on their personal machine. Perhaps outright illegal even?

I realize that doesn't solve your immediate issue...but not aware of an easy way to do what you propose. Even if you image your existing drive chances of getting it all to line up right are small imo.

They gave us 30 Days to comply or face diciplinary action. It is really. bad. even browsing is blocked. Yes It is illegal. but it is all to protect the companies image.

A whole bunch of fellow employees tried to resist but got told to resign. Id rather work the problem than Creating waves.

They do not care. I would rather work the problem and get them off my back

Outside of work hours?

On your own hardware?

Please tell me you're billing them to act as their agent 24/7, else you're just getting screwed and liking it too..

What specs does your pc have? Won't it be easier to just buy a cheap one for work
It is a private PC. I don't work from home. The PC has nothing to do with the Company. They demand to have protection and it is covered in the company policies. they even track all social media accounts.

Buy a piece of junk off of Gumtree or Carbonite and install it on that.
The hardware must correspond. CPU and GPU. I have everything spoofed except the Hardware tracker.

OK well if you've already started doing this maybe share what virtualization software you are using? And what spyware they're using.

As I said though...spoofing GPU in particular is gonna be tricky

Wow they seem like a really nice company. Which software are they using to infringe on your rights.

Please name and Shane this god awful company.. any company violating a persons privacy like this, does not deserve to have their image protected..

Monitoring social media is one thing, as that is public domain by it's very nature.. forcing people to install spyware on completely personal equipment, where absolutely zero company related work is conducted, is a whole new level of absolute f***up..

To your issue, can you not say your current PC gave up the ghost, buy a junker of gumtree and install the spyware on that..

So simply claim you don't have a private pc at home?

Reminds me of Crossover for work. A number of these remote work "shops" do that, but only as far as making sure you are actually working. Yours is delving into social media too? Interesting...

I don't remote work at all.
