Calling IS to the forums. You are the only inactive ISP on this forum, baring Telkom which is to be expected. You owe all the ADSL users answers.

1. Why are you charging different amounts on the IS Fiber ?

2. Why are the speeds so slow on the express accounts.

3. Why do our routers get disconnected every hour or so.

4. Why is there no correspondence on the forums when your Infrastructure goes down.
 
Because they don't care, they're making money and moaning about it doesn't change that. This is my first month on an IS account and it will be my last. I've had to purchase SAIX bandwidth ontop of my uncapped IS account just to be able to download anything above 3KBps. At over R1000 per month one would expect something faster and not slower than 56K dialup.
 
I agree those accounts are dead slow - I get my account for free, but its not even worth using it because speed are slow on p2p, or news server. From what i could find out they do shaping on those port aswell as nntp.

IS will neva come to the table
 
I don't use any news servers or p2p, all my international traffic is pathetic. I'm not going to carry on moaning to ISPs because it's useless, the only thing that will wake IS up is people cancelling their accounts. I'll be moving over to a 20GB SAIX account for the same price as this useless IS "service".

their service leaves little to be desired. i emailed IS a few weeks back and got read receipts for the email, in which one person deleted the damn email without reading it. none of the 2 that read the email replied. that's just pathetic. why don't these cowards just come here and own up. we should all send them emails -> [email protected], but watch as ur read receipts come back as deleted mail.
 
Have you tried chatting to your account managers from IS?
Im not defending anything or anyone here, I personally have stopped using any and all IS accounts in favour of SAIX.
 
plus with Telkom offering uncapped local bandwidth, IS will be going down the drain. oh wait, they already are there :rolleyes:
 
To be fair Telkom seems to be redefining "uncapped" to suit their own ends.

As crap and slow as IS can be, Throttled, shaped etc, I still get 60 - 90gigs out per month!. There i don't complain. Show me where Telkom gives you 60 to 90gigs per month for roughly R1300! (R999 + R300 telkom)

But as it is now, i had to stop all downloads because of their un-announced upgrades that's making my online experience feel like 9600baud.
