So my adsl has been losing sync a lot, and is now super slow.

I did a tracert and my second hop 647ms :cry:

That should be the hop to the dslam.

How do I convince Telkom to move me to a different port? Telkom isn't my ISP so not sure how to tell them my issue is the dslam and not my isp.

I've tried multiple ISPs, on different backbones and the problems always all port to the dslam/exchange.

For example I sometimes get a 700ms on hop 2 when doing a tracert.

What is the easiest way to get a Telkom Tech to do that right away without wasting time with crap?

They've even got my on 2Meg now (even though I have perfect line stats) which doesn't even make a difference as with two different ISPs I cant get more than 0.5Meg download.

Please help.

I'm paying for 6Meg ADSL and ISP account. :(

Those line att numbers look a bit funky.

Post a ping -n 100...bet it times out 20% of the time.

I rate run without pots & if that doesn't help report it as a line fault. Don't push other dslam...looks like its just your wire.
