campus size wifi network

If it was wikipedia maybe the it would be legit, but its scratchpad. He probably writes it himself and then references it.

Of course he does...

and everyone here laughs at him and his conspiracy theories, and he gets the Most Irritating Forumite of the Week award whenever he posts....

captainwifi : However much you wish it wasn't the case, you can't go cutting up roads because you want to run your own lil private telephone company using some hairbrained idea that you've cooked up.

Aren't you in the ISP business ? Because Didata's Internet Solutions have been given permission to cut them roads which is why their stooges on this forum don't want anybody else to use a http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/HorizontalDirectionaldrilling#Rod_pushers
to emulate them. It is only natural for the ISPs to want to prevent the public from doing what they want to do themselves: Tunnel under that road.

As far as conspiracy theories goes , yes Naspers has been amazingly successful in getting the public to bark up the wrong tree. Their idea of solving crime is a policeman on every street corner. And who will pay for it? My idea is a CCTV camera on every street corner. It is simply unbelievable what is going on in this country. Murder, rape, torture because Naspers together with IS, Mweb and half the posters on this forum working for ISPs have convinced people not to cooperate for the common good but instead badger Telkom who is financially in no position to provide anybody with 100gig local or international bandwidth. Telkom has a telecoms license not a license to print money. They can't be expected to provide Precious with a fresh batch of copper wire so she can buy some lekke chicken every month and provide Rosebank with the data it demands.

Actually IS don't have that permission yet, as they do not have an ECNS... but you just conveniently ignore that...

You are now blaming all the crime on Naspers and saying telscum don't have the money to sort shyte out?!?!? you my friend REALLY need to crawl out of your little hole and go out into the real world and see how it ACTUALLY works.

No, Telkom don't have the money. Their P.E. ratio last time I looked was around 10 which means the company is a dud. Its fixed wired business is a huge loss making enterprise, all they have going for them is their stake in Vodacom.

The ISPs are laying wiring under roads, they are doing it without telling everybody about it. The hypocrisy is amazing. Naspersie is diversifying out of South-Africa because they simply can't become a content provider like Google with our crippled bandwidth. Furthermore they are protecting their DSTV venture. Let me remind you that Naspers is forbidden by law and Icasa to provide Internet via their DSTV equipment, the Vansies tjanked at Icasa about it.

A http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/CommunityBlockNetwork will be have so much http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/DslamWifiTopology bandwidth that they will be able to setup their own broadcasting station and become a content provider in addition to preventing Lee Ann-Manis from being traumatized again by having a camera watch over her entrance as she arrives home. (What happened to her by the way is she back at work - I don't watch TV so won't know)

What the news media is saying without putting it in so many words is that they would rather have a women raped then allow a http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/TelevisionOverInternet via http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/DecentralisedNetworks because then your community block network becomes what the news media wishes to become: The next SA Google. Sure the journalist reporting to us the latest hijacking in a street would love for there to be http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/CctvCameras operated by the community but since everything is converging over the IP protocol it would be impossible from preventing that same CCTV network being used to stream a live DSTV feed to every home.

The same battle is being waged in the USA between Verizon and Google. Google wants infinite bandwidth for free for everybody to sell content. Verizon don't want this because then you create millions of little Verizons.

The crime problem will never be solved unless we implement this Wi-Fi/fixed wired topology I described here http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/TelephoneNetworkRollout#Wi-Fi_and_DSLAM_combination. The ANC can't help us, the police can't help us we as a community are on our own. There is no other solution other than CCTV and Naspers knows this. It is pointless in telling us about the latest killing - whats new? This is normal for South Africa, what is abnormal are brainwashed fools to stupid to realize that the very newspaper telling them about the atrocity are doing everything in their power to prevent them from finding out that for R500/home an initiating solution will be unleashed that will have a snowball effect as described here http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/NetworkCentricWarfare.

We will for example be able to implement http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/StreetSurveillance with paintball armed golf carts:
"...Fit golfcarts with paintball gun and shoot the window of the getaway vehicle driven by the armed robbers so that they can't see where they drive. It carst will be operated by our [[FrontingCompany]] which takes care of all liability. Using the opensource robot controllers under [[RoboTics]] we can build multiple remote controlled vehicles controled via [[MeshNetworking]]. The robots gets their [[DhCp]] lease from the Wi-Fi hotspot as it roams from street to street streaming real-time video to the operator. None of this will be possible without a [[TelephoneNetworkRollout]]. By using multiple electric powered golf carts a road can be quickly blocked off to prevent an armed robber from escaping by vehicle...."

Bandwidth makes all of this possible and the only constraint was costs. Cabling every home will never work only by combining
Wi-Fi with an underground stage1 ducting system will this level of network integration and community cooperation be possible.
Once you have the bandwidth the applications for solving the crime will automatically be enabled. But we have a chicken and egg problem. Since their is no bandwidth, nobody is bothering to implement the solutions I have linked to.

Trying to get my message across is seemingly impossible and I have to look on in despair as women after women gets raped, hijackings, murders and mayhem. All because the news media don't want you to understand that creating a http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/CommunityBlockNetwork will only cost each home R500 as I explained here http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/TelephoneNetworkRollout#Wi-Fi_and_DSLAM_combination. Borrow the money and pay down the amount via a debit order. The community then has http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/UnlimitedBandwidth so they can go on to the next stage of enabling CCTV.

Lets for example import the Rod pusher from Ditchwitch and create a section 21 non-profit company so that we can tunnel under the roads at cost price. Phone these people who will explain to you how they are doing it, but they ask to much money which is why we have to import our own gear:

# Corrie Scheepers Planar Construction (083 413 1027)

Seriously now, Can we all please have a collection, and buy some cloves of garlic, wooden stakes, silver bullets, vials of Holy water etc?

I don't see any other way!

WAHAHAHAHAHAHA... thanks for giving me a laugh wify...

Telkom is a loss-making enterprise... tell that to the R14 odd billion in PROFIT they made last year, and the BILLIONS they have in the bank.... (you do seem to ignore reality quite happily)

As for the ISPs laying cable under the road, and not telling anyone.... the only companies actively laying cable under the roads at this point are Telscum, Vodacom, MTN and Neotel.... how do you know something that nobody else knows... even the people who live in these areas? hmmmm? are you psychic?

The rest of your post is complete and utter hogwash and will be disregarded with the requisite amount of derision it deserves.

Yes, they are making massive losses on their connections outside Rosebank, Sandton, Waterkloof and Houghton. These are the whitew on whose stilts Telkoms sits as Pallo Jordan put it a few years ago before he was posted to Japan.

You protesteth to much! ;) Come now Toxicbunny admit it: You work for an ISP/Telco whatever right?

your small mindedness and complete blinkeredness to reality is astounding wify... if telkom are making a loss everywhere outside the small area you mentioned they'd ONLY operate in that area as that is the way of a monopoly, and you seem to be saying that Telkom are making in excess of R14billion rand profit on an a tiny area... since obviously they're losing money everywhere else.... and oh, just BTW.. there is no way that those 4 small areas are spending however many Billions annually for telkom to make R14+ billion profit on them...

You sir, are stupid, plain and simple.

and no, I don't work for an ISP, I work for an engineering company, BUT I know how the world works unlike you.

Captainwifi:

First off:
You copy-pasted most of that incredibly large, badly written and referenced post from here: http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/NaspersProblem
In my eyes, this renders your credibility null and void.

Second, if you want to make a claim Telkom being a "dud", provide a reference, because no-one on this site will believe you otherwise. That includes me, for the record.

Third: It's not the media's job to make you "want to understand that creating a (linked scratchpad wikia page) is in your best interest - it's their job to deliver the facts. That's what journalism is about. (Ref: Wikipedia)

I'm not Naspers's biggest fan either, nor do I believe it to be the most ethical institution, but what you're suggesting they should be doing is borderline propaganda.

Fourth: I'm not going to say anything about paintball shooting golfcarts..

Fifth: Please. Please, please, please, please. If you're going to provide us with 879 words to read through, LEARN HOW TO REFERENCE PROPERLY  I'm not going to click every link I see. It's not how it works.

Good night to you, sir.
Ps. Preemptive strike: I do not work for an ISP or Telecom. Nor Naspers, for that matter.

Wow the wifi is back... not sure if I should be happy about the entertainment of upset that I have to sift through the cr@p for the underlying point.

I am getting really tired of the linking to articles that he wrote in the first place to try and substantiate his theories.
Wifi lets assume you didnt write all the references that you put in, then you have "learnt" everything you know from reading one persons opinion, bwhahahahahahha!!!!!!!
