Spain took France to school yesterday. They made it look so easy.

I doubt anybody will be able to match them at the World Cup!

haha, awesome. I heard it was more a case of france not showing up... anyways Spain didnt win confed, got a good run for their money from SA.

Hopefully nobody stops them. They deserve to win the tournament

Seriously, Spain are looking really good. But they won't win it. Brazil will. Holland might surprise.

I'm an England Supporter, but i know we don't stand a chance. I'm hoping they make to the quarters at Soccer City v France. Got tickets.

If lippi would actually pick the right players we could but since he likes his old boys club we can forget it. Spain as with holland has a habit to implode at the major tournament so I won't be crowning them champs yet, they look very good though. Personally I think germany will take it.

I have 2 worries with England. The team imploding due either to superstar distractions like German 2006, or the Terry problem. The fact that they are staying in Phoekeng and not Sandton is a great move by Cappello to try to keep the media and WAGS away.

Th eother problem is the penalty shoot-out. It's a required skill to win a world cup, and England will melt under the pressure. My prediction, a struggle against the USA with either a draw or win a 1 goal, but ENgland will top the group. They'll win their R16 game, but lose in the quarters.

I think england have a chance, they are a changed team.
Like Spain a few years back, both countries have players coming from very competitive clubs, and they did not get along.
Spain have changed that and i beleive England has too. I mean Gerrard and Rooney clicking, thats something you dont see (or Gerrard giving Rooney the captains armband).

Spain are still the best team on paper, but my opinion is that their midfielders are competiting for the same position. Like they did in Confed cup, they played the best players but not the best players for the position.
Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Alonso and Senna. How do u fit them in but at the same time play with wingers.

I really wondered about those subs, I was thinking that maybe Capello is testing his team to see who he would give it to, same thing with Rooney. England have a chance, sure, just saying that I feel that they won't win.

Best defence in the world! Are you smoking your socks?

I would take David Villa over Rooney any day. He has been the best striker in the world for years now.

Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc, Senna Silva will run circles around Lamps, Barry, Gerrard, Carrick.


Remember last season when the two teams met in Sevilla, Spain walked all over England.

I think the real contenders are:

Spain
Brazil

If Brazil finish second in their group, they will play Spain in the R16. Now that will be something.
 
Yeah dont think anyone will need to stop them, they will stop themselves!

I would think Torres is the best except he keeps gettin injured.
But i would like to know how will you line-up Spain.
Senna vs Alonso (both DM with Senna the tackler and Alonso the Passer).
Xavi, Iniesta and Cesc - sorry but all 3 cant play together (thats was their mistake in Confed Cup, Xavi was playing on right).
Even how do u play Xavi and Iniesta - means u cant play Torres and Villa.
Silva on left and Navas on right. Xavi and Senna in centre, Torres and Villa. That would be an unstoppable team.
But the coach cannot leave out Cesc or Iniesta and so he will move them out wide which will be their downfall.
