Can anyone recommend a carpenter?

Bumping this as I need a decent carpenter to fix some old kitchen cabinets in JHB. Anyone have a decent oke they can recommend

Some more info would help. Are these real wood, do you need the doors shrink wrapped etc? These are different people.

The majority of kitchen cabinets use some form of melamine or wrapped mdf.

When my pipe burst, it took a long time for the insurance carpenter to get a good match to the existing doors.

My hot take:

If the carcasses are still good, replace the doors. Ask the woodshop, to do drill the hinge holes and you just hang the new doors. Door sizes is basically the same as the old door.

Thats going to be a struggle. The amount of driving around to measure the shelf find a piece of offcut in the same color getting it edged and fitted is extensive so I doubt you will get anything but we don't want this job quotes.

Your best bet is probably to measure it yourself and phone some board cutting places with a sob story to see if they can help you out. Then fit it yourself or get a handyman to do it.

I would buy some white melamine board and make the shelves and edge with the closet colour match available or with the white standard edge.

Your best bet, buy white melamine and have the board shop cut it up per your sizes. Have them edge it in either white or closet match. Pay them.

To try and get an offcut board will be next to impossible.
