Can anyone recommend other software for the Vodacom E220?

Hi Guys

As the tittle suggest I have about 15x Vodafone E220 modems and the Vodafone software is really crap. Most of the time I'm having issues with modems not getting detected and installed properly. When I plug in one of the E220 modems windows would pick up the Mass USB Storage device but not the 2 Data interfaces causing the software to not detect the modem. Then only after a struggle can I get it working. The problem is some of my users go out to remote location then this happens which is a nightmare.

I have a few Altech and MTN modems and no of the above happens so is there a way I can remove the Vodafone software cause it's just crap?

The Vodacom helpdesk is also useless I've tried them plenty of time but none of them can troubleshoot past uninstalling and re-installing the software.

Two suggestions:

- Disable the drive letter assigned to the modem. Can nearly guarantee this is 99% of your problems.

- After that every dash should work, but stick to ginggs' MDMA.

How do I disable the drive letter assigned to the modem?
