I need some input here please, as I am totally new to playstation, or consoles for that matter.
Since the soccer world cup, when I had a go at the wii motion thingy, Ive been contemplating getting a console. The only reason that I did not get a wii at that stage already was that it would require me to get a compatible TV (I use a large screen monitor for movies, attached to a stand alone DVD player).
With the advent of the playstation ‘move’ , I have once again starting looking at consoles. Hence I have a few questions:
Can the playstation 3 be connect directly to a pc monitor? My monitor accepts dvi, dsub & hdmi inputs.
What are the associated costs of getting a PS3 + motion thingy? Is new recommended or should I look at gumtree, etc for a 2nd hand console? I would only use it for playing games. I foresee a need for controllers for 2 players.
I’m mostly a PC games player, and then really only RTS & RPG (some online). Hence I would probably only play ‘sports’ type games that utilises the motion ‘thingy’. Is it worth making the jump and investment in PS3 for such limited application, or should I wait for a similar motion ‘thingy’ to become available for PC – if it ever does?
